An examination room of a university hospital in Münster on a bright early summer morning, beside a couch spread with a smooth white sheet a tall ultrasound scanner on a low wheeled chassis with a long slanting push bar, painted pale cream-grey, on its upright column a small box-shaped screen with a soft grey grainy glow and one tiny bright flicker, from the top a horizontal arm reaching out over the couch, at its end on a joint a rounded white water-filled scanning head lowered just above the sheet, cables down the column, a hand in a white coat sleeve at a black knob, pale yellow walls, a frosted window.
