A campsite among pine trees on a lake shore near Halle on an early summer morning, mist on the water and low sun between the trunks, before a faded orange tent a folding wooden table with a camping tea set in matt pale lemon-yellow melamine, a tall tapering pot with an angular loop handle and a flat lid with two oval finger recesses, two cups with small wedge-shaped handles stacked one inside the other, a small jug with two pointed spouts, a round lidded box, a hand in a knitted sleeve lifting the lid of the pot, far across the water soft in the haze pale cooling towers and tall columns.
