A family bathroom in a flat in Hesse on a bright summer morning, sunlight through a frosted glass window, pale pink wall tiles, on the white rim of the bath a slim flat-oval shampoo bottle twenty centimetres tall, smooth creamy white plastic with a soft matt sheen, a tall green screw cap, on its front a smooth band shading from pale blue to green, a hand with wet fingers at the frame edge reaching for it, beside it a folded white towel and a small round bar of soap in a white dish, water drops on the tiles and on the bottle, every surface plain and unmarked.
