A vast film studio hall near Berlin during an interior shoot, hot white spotlights on high gantries, in front a heavy studio camera on a massive tripod, a cube-shaped body in black crackle paint worn to bare silver at the edges, a square riveted black lens hood at the front, a lens with a plain black barrel, a black viewfinder tube along the top, on its side a plain pale square shape standing on one corner, smooth and bare, beside the camera a woman in a pale trouser suit seen from directly behind, face turned fully away, beyond them an empty set of a whitewashed mountain village street with wooden balconies.
