A dark computer room in Cambridge, Massachusetts late at night, a matt black cube one and a half metres on each side standing alone on a polished black floor, built from eight smaller black cubes, the upper four set slightly apart, black ribbed ventilation grilles in the joints between them, on its side faces tall vertical fields of tiny red lights glowing in irregular scattered patterns, their red glow mirrored in the polished floor, every surface plain and unmarked, far to one side a low grey desk with a dark terminal glowing faint grey, a tall window far behind with the faint blue night light of the city.
